Ten Ways That Lemons Can Make You More Beautiful

Lemons are a wonderful product to add, or aid, your beauty routine. They can help with many skin problems because of their high vitamin c content and their antibacterial properties.

8. Acne Treatment

8-10-Beauty-Lemon-Acne Lemons have antibacterial properties and L-ascorbic acid which is a natural astringent. Because of this they can help with acne. Slice a lemon and squeeze the juice onto your face. The acne will start to fade and dry out before no time. For better results wash your face with antibacterial soap and warm water or even steam clean your face by putting your face over hot water and draping a towel over your head to prevent the steam from escaping. This will help to open your pores before you use the lemon juice. If you want to you can even let the lemon juice sit on your face overnight and then rinse it off the next morning.

7. Cleansing Wipes

Put it on a cotton pad for a great cleanser to use on problem skin. This will aide in healing acne and with getting rid of those troublesome dark spots.

6. Teeth Whitener

Use your toothbrush to scrub it all around and then rinse. This will give you a beautiful, whiter smile and is much cheaper than having to go to the dentist.

5. Canker Sores

Or try rinsing the canker sore with lemon juice throughout the day to help it heal faster. This works because the antibacterial properties that lemons have will help to fight the bacteria that cause canker sores.

4. Skin Brightener

Lemons are loaded with Vitamin C which is an antioxidant that helps to boost collagen production. If you are going to use lemon juice just remember to use an SPF because it can make your skin more sensitive to UV rays.

3. Lip exfoliator

3-10-Beauty-Lemon-Lip Lemon juice can help remove dead skin cells and dried skin on your lips. Put some juice on your lips before bed and wash it off the next morning for smoother lips. Just don’t do this if you have lips that are cracked or have cuts in them. You can also mix a tablespoon of juice with a tablespoon of castor oil and glycerin to give it a more chapstick-like feel.

2. Nail Strengthener

2-10-Beauty-Lemon-Nail-Strengthener Gel manicures can damage your nails and they may need a chance to repair. Lemon juice can help with that. Mix some lemon juice with cooking oil, preferably olive oil, and let your nails soak in it for a while, then after you’re done rinse it off. This is great for nails that are dry and brittle. It will also help to “bleach” nails that have yellowed.

1. Hair Lightener

1-10-Beauty-Lemon=Hair-Lightner Want to get highlights, but don’t want to pay the salon prices? Then try lemon juice. Before you go outside apply some lemon juice and watch your hair lighten with some sun-kissed color. This will also continue to work as your roots grow out which will help to keep the color looking natural. The juice helps to treat dandruff and a dry scalp, so apply it generously.
